Altenar has unveiled a comprehensive overhaul of its self-service betting terminal, introducing a range of features designed to enhance both operational efficiency and user experience.

This latest version incorporates dual touchscreens with bidirectional capabilities, seamless integration of QR code payments via mobile app and live streaming, transforming the terminal into a modern entertainment platform.

Operators will appreciate the robust middleware layer that comes equipped with a suite of ready-to-use features, allowing for quicker deployments and smoother updates.

The use of over-the-air (OTA) updates facilitates rapid rollouts across various regions, ensuring consistent service and minimal disruption.

A notable feature of the upgraded terminal is its high degree of customisation. Operators can configure dynamic user flows, set operational hours and adjust terminal modes on both local and global scales. Promotional content can be tailored for specific regions or campaigns through secondary screens, and the system supports native integration with hardware such as printers, bill acceptors, and coin handlers.

This evolution is a key component of Altenar’s broader retail strategy, aimed at delivering an omnichannel experience through integration with its mobile app and online sportsbook. This development allows players to engage seamlessly across various platforms, enhancing revenue opportunities for operators.

Isidoros Siderakis, Head of Special Projects at Altenar, says: “This upgrade marks a pivotal moment in our retail strategy. By combining cutting-edge technology with deep customisation, we are delivering a terminal solution that not only meets today’s expectations but anticipates tomorrow’s demands.”

Altenar is presenting its upgraded terminal at the SBC Summit Americas from May 13-15, where attendees can explore the new capabilities in person.
