Boomerang Partners’ Golden Boomerang Awards, the third season of their annual affiliate traffic tournament, concluded on August 31st. The five-month tournament saw participating teams go head-to-head for exclusive sports-themed prizes and industry-wide recognition.
This third season became thelongest in Golden Boomerang Awards history. Running from April 1st to August 31st, the tournament followed a sports-inspired format and was divided into three stages: 1st Half (April 1st to June 9th), 2nd Half (June 10th to July 19th) and Overtime (July 20 th to August 31st).
Each stage had its own exclusive prizes, while all points earned by participants were added to the overall leaderboard.
This format allowed affiliate teams to build their positions throughout the season, with each stage contributing to the final results. Additional tournament mechanics gave participants more opportunities to earn points and improve their positions in the leaderboard.
Built around sports experiences
Throughout the third season, participants competed not only for leaderboard positions but also for exclusive sports-themed prizes. The tournament’s sports focus was reflected in the Prize Pool, which included experiences linked to some of the world’s biggest sporting events.
The Kickoff stage winner received a Wimbledon experience, while participants also had the chance to win Mystery Boxes featuring limited-edition FIFA World Cup 2026 jerseys. The Second Half soffered a visit to the Formula 1 Grand Prix, with Mystery Boxes featuring the FIFA World Cup Historical Mini Ball Set. And the final Overtime stage featured the season’s Main Prize, a private dinner with a sports legend.
Top 30: The season’s strongest performers
The final Top 30 in the Golden Boomerang Awards 2026 includes the teams with the highest number of points accumulated across all three stages. Securing a place in the Top 30 means becoming a finalist of the third season and receiving recognition for consistent performance throughout the five-month tournament.
