SBC Summit Canada, previously known as the Canadian Gaming Summit, signals a new chapter in the event’s evolution, scheduled to occur from May 19th to 21st 2026.
This rebranding aligns with SBC’s global portfolio, positioning the Summit as a premier platform for addressing regulation and market strategies in Canada’s gaming sector.
The shift from June to May circumvents scheduling conflicts with the 2026 FIFA World Cup, allowing full focus on the Canadian gaming industry.
Over its 28-year history, the former Canadian Gaming Summit has provided crucial insights into regulation and market opportunities. Now, as SBC Summit Canada, the event merges international scale with a dedicated focus on Canada’s unique market dynamics.
The 2026 edition will host 3,000 senior executives from Canada’s retail and online casino, sports betting and iGaming sectors. Attendees can expect over 120 speakers, a 50,000+ sqft exhibition floor and top-tier hospitality to encourage networking and business growth.
Rasmus Sojmark, SBC Founder & CEO, says: “Through SBC Summit Canada, we are reaffirming our long-term commitment to the Canadian market with a refreshed event designed to better serve the needs of our stakeholders and keep the focus firmly on driving meaningful business opportunities for our delegates.”
SBC Summit Canada will feature over 75 exhibitors. The conference agenda spans three stages, focusing on leadership in sports betting and casinos, affiliate models, cybersecurity, player protection and regulatory compliance.
Notable speakers include Tolek Strukoff (Gateway Casinos & Entertainment), Joseph Hillier (iGaming Ontario) and Paul Burns (Canadian Gaming Association).
Key discussions will explore Alberta’s emerging regulated market; opportunities tied to the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the growing role of sports betting.
Topics will also cover evolving advertising standards, the impact of affiliates and social media and regulatory approaches to new products like sweepstakes.
In addition to formal sessions, the summit will host two networking events: the Opening Party at RS Sports Bar in Toronto and the Official Networking Party. These events provide informal settings for delegates to network and enhance business relationships.
SBC Summit Canada is integrated into SBC’s global event portfolio, including SBC Summit Rio, SBC Summit Malta, SBC Summit Americas and the flagship SBC Summit in Lisbon, reinforcing its status as a key player in the global gaming industry.
