Yggdrasil Gaming has announced the appointment of David Hopkins as Chief Transformation Officer, as the business moves into the next phase of its growth.
David brings extensive experience from some of the largest organisations in global gaming, including Flutter and Entain, with a strong track record of leading transformation across complex, high-growth businesses. His appointment marks an important evolution for Yggdrasil. Over the past few years, the business has invested heavily in disruptive innovation, building the technology, tools and operating models behind its strategy. The focus now shifts to productionising that innovation – scaling it, commercialising it and unlocking its full potential.
Central to David’s mandate will be Yggdrasil’s strategic pillars, Game in a Box, Studio in a Box and YGG Masters. He will help ensure that each has the structure, capability, and commercial focus required to scale successfully and deliver sustainable long-term value.
James Curwen, CEO, says: “David is a hugely important hire for Yggdrasil; he brings exactly the combination of strategic thinking, operational discipline and industry experience we need at this stage of our journey.
“As we continue to grow, our priority is to make sure the organisation is set up to move with greater clarity, speed and accountability. David has a proven ability to work across complex businesses, bring teams together and turn ambitious strategies into practical, measurable outcomes.”
David Hopkins adds: “Yggdrasil has built a strong platform for what comes next, and that is what makes this opportunity so compelling.
“My focus will be on helping the business turn its strengths into even greater impact – creating the right structure, focus and alignment to support the next stage of Yggdrasil’s evolution.”
