Meridian Gaming Group, a leading online gambling platform, used the closing day of G2E in Las Vegas to present its achievements in combatting the global pandemic, reporting that the company has donated over $1m to Covid-related projects and reached 150 cities across Europe, Latin America and Africa. Attention of the world’s largest gaming exhibition was drawn to the fact that Meridian had adapted dozens of its outlets around the world into vaccination outposts, available not only to employees but to all responsible citizens. For over 18 months, Meridian Gaming has supported national hospitals and medical centres, safe houses, transfusion centres, social welfare non-profit groups and health foundations throughout Southeast Europe, the EU, Latin & Central America, Africa and Asia. The company has also partnered with World Health Organisation (WHO) to help its global vaccine rollout, Covid-19 Relief and Solidarity Response Plan. With our communities being challenged as never before, the example shown by Meridian reminds us that global solidarity is the only sustainable value in times of uncertainty.
