The Dublin, Ireland based affiliate Gambling.com Group has announced the $27.5m acquisition of Roto Sports, fantasy sports and sports betting specialists and owner of leading DFS news brand and content portal, RotoWire.
RotoWire is a subscription service with over 100,000 paid subscribers and more than 17m unique visitors in the past year. The objective for Gambling.com Group is to accelerate a US growth strategy and the appeal in the deal is clearly this audience, plus the company’s expert team, content library, established media partnerships and immense trust it has built amongst US sports fans.
Gambling.com Group CEO Charles Gillespie said: “Over the past 25 years, the RotoWire team has produced some of the best fantasy sports content in America and have in turn embedded their business into the heart of the American sports experience.”
