ICE London 2023 is now three weeks behind us, so less than 50 weeks to go until the next one! As we all get stuck into the task of reviewing all that we saw and learned, and following up with contacts and colleagues old and new, we take on last look back. With the help of a few of those who made this year’s event so exceptional, we remind you of some of the spectacular things that we saw…
CT Gaming exceeds objectives
CT Gaming showcased its innovative products and attracted many potential customers and partners, with Director of Business Development & Strategy, Biser Bozhanov, saying: “We had positive feedback from attendees, media and current customers. We are expecting excellent outcomes in sales, partnerships and new business opportunities.
“An essential aspect of this year’s exhibition was establishing our position as a leading manufacturer and distributor in land-based casinos and strengthening the relationship with our long-term partners.”
There was much discussion about further European expansion, especially within Romania and Serbia for new CMS installations, with new functionalities, and more.
And the icing on the CT Gaming cake was the Diamond Tree 20 Games multigame, an exciting and blend of 20 games, all linked to the 3-level Diamond Tree progressive jackpot, sparking interest from all operators.
Spintec showcases latest best-sellers
Spintec’s stand received an unprecedented amount of attention throughout the three-day event, as the company showed product upgrades, new hardware and new game features.
The Remote Gaming solution allows casino groups to combine live and automated games at different locations. This reduces the number of dealers and other staff required and gives players across multiple venues the experience of a live or automated game of Roulette, SicBo or Craps.
Spintec’s most popular innovation was the upgraded stand-alone automated roulette centre and their new Baccarat now boasts a ‘squeeze’ feature, adding drama to an already fascinating game.
The company has also developed solutions for the delivery of tournaments with their SicBo, Roulette and Baccarat installations. A first-person experience of this was offered to ICE visitors, and its popularity showed that operators are showing increasing interest in this type of game delivery.
GR8 Tech talks tailormade solutions
GR8 Tech made its debut appearance at ICE 2023, following its recent transformative rebrand and repositioning.
CEO, Evgen Belousov, commented: “Every year, ICE provides a great opportunity to meet all gambling industry representatives, set up meetings and discuss business opportunities.
“This year GR8 Tech was presented at ICE as a new B2B player. We used the event as a platform to set up important meetings with existing and potential clients, which definitely gives us a great opportunity to grow our business.”
GR8 Tech’s boutique approach applies perfectly to ICE’s one-on-one meeting culture. The company used the opportunity to connect with potential clients and introduce them to its product line-up, which includes the iGaming Platform, the Parimatch franchise and a unique for the iGaming market BaaS (Business as a Service) offer.
GR8 Tech is well-positioned to shake up the industry, with Business Development Officer, Dmytro Paliants, stating that around two-thirds of the partners they met showed interest in further negotiations.
“As a B2B provider with an individual approach, GR8 Tech cannot and will not seek to enter into as many contracts as possible. Our solutions are most useful for operators who are ready to grow and scale, so we seek to start cooperation with these selected few,” he said.
NOVOMATIC enjoys biggest and best
According to NOVOMATIC, ICE London 2023, proved to be the best, busiest and by far the biggest ICE ever.
A new and sophisticated stand design introduced a new black elegance as well as granting excellent visibility to the various dedicated NOVOMATIC floor areas for the diverse industry sectors and markets – land-based casino and AWP products & systems, casino management systems including biometric technologies for modern access solutions and secure cash handling solutions, as well as sports betting and iGaming solutions and more.
Ryszard Presch, Executive Board Member at NOVOMATIC AG, said: “I am delighted with the resonance at the show. It proves that our development strategy in terms of hardware as well as content and solutions for the international markets was spot on.”
Johannes Gratzl, Executive Board Member, added: “A major show like ICE is always a collaborative accomplishment, and we are fully aware that this tremendous success in London is the result of the combined team effort of countless departments and staff, and we thank them all.”
And Thomas Schmalzer, VP Global Sales & VP Product Management, concluded: “This year’s ICE was just a tremendously successful show. It was already clear at the beginning of day one that the number of visitors to our stand far exceeded that of previous years. Customer feedback on our show portfolio was excellent, and the question that we heard most, was: ‘When can we have it?’
Konami delivers diversity
2023 marked the ICE debut of Konami’s expanded Dimension series of slot cabinets, with an array of themes, linked progressive series and base games on show.
Konami also offers a robust library of player-favourite land-based games for online social and for-wager sites. SUZOHAPP adds to sports betting ecosystem
SUZOHAPP aims to elevate the gaming and betting experience by creating solutions that optimise the settings that customers want to be in and create immersive experiences, and so the company was excited to showcase new additions to its sports betting ecosystem along with new product launches for OEMs.
In the European sports betting market, almost 70% of revenue is generated by in-play betting, with SUZOHAPP offering a solution to allow customers to place those in-play bets from the comfort of a bar or table, without removing themselves from the social atmosphere.
“We are constantly on the hunt to find ways to seamlessly integrate sports betting in retail settings with where and how customers want to watch sports,” says Tim Kennedy, VP of Sales for Europe. “Watching sports is inherently social and we believe that sports betting can and should be that way too.”
BETER brings out its very best
Brilliantly orange branding and cleverly assumed ‘ownership’ of the ‘Next Gen Gaming’ strapline now serve to underpin the excitement and vision delivered by content and data provider, BETER. And with a stand that showcased the full range of esports, sports (including new MMA), live gaming and gaming solutions, plus iFrame and Feed integrations, interest and activity across the largest of operators was non-stop. It is probably safe to say that with BETER, the best us still yet to come.
