Although the country only introduced laws to regulate iGaming and online sports wagering last August, the government of Peru has announced that players will be unable to maintain their anonymity when playing online.
These further amendments aim to prevent financial fraud and possible tax evasion and have been approved by the country’s Commission of Economy, Banks, Finance & Financial Intelligence.
Online betting and gaming sites will now be unable to provide anonymity to their customers. In addition, new tax calculation guidelines have been introduced.
