Sony’s PlayStation Tournaments are now available to play on PS5, with the ‘eSports-for-everyone’ feature now making it easier for players to join in and play their favourite tournament games.
Players can also sign up directly from their consoles, with no need to use a second device just to get started.
The new PlayStation Tournaments system also offers a revamped interface, helping players to find events, track results and join in chat.
Prizes will include in-game currency, real cash and PlayStation hardware and experiences. As a taster, a ‘Win-A-Thon’ leaderboard event will run between December 1st and January 31st. This promotion is also available to PS4 owners.
All players in eligible nations who have a PlayStation Plus membership can join, with the initial PS5 tournaments focusing on FIFA 23, Guilty Gear Strive and NBA 2K23.
