Leading technology supplier Playtech has announced that it will be launching brand new partnerships in Ontario. The company will now kick-start partnerships for its RNG Casino and Live Casino verticals, to be followed by the company’s full iGaming platform.
Playtech is not new to Ontario, having previously worked with the Ontario Lottery & Gaming Corporation, providing the Crown agency with data analytics technology and other services.
Shimon Akad, Playtech’s Chief Operating Officer, describes the launch in Ontario as a major milestone for the gaming technology provider in North America, adding that the supplier is excited to launch along with multiple licensees on the first day of the market, and the team is now looking forward to launching with even more partners in the coming weeks.
Charmaine Hogan, Head of Regulatory Affairs at Playtech commented that as the provider is attempting to enhance its efforts on sustainability in the sector, it welcomes the launch of Ontario’s new regime. A robust regulatory framework will bring operators and suppliers under local oversight, providing a safe gaming environment for gamblers.
Playtech uses artificial intelligence, which allows it to perform analyses of player behaviour and flag sign of problematic tendencies at early stages. This enables the company to engage with those players, in-play, and in a personalised way, by using automated tools and custom messages. The company is a major advocate of having a more responsible and sustainable entertainment industry in the long run.
