SBC Summit Europe is poised to become a pivotal event for the regulated gambling industry, scheduled at RAI Amsterdam from April 19th to  21st, 2027.

The Summit aims to unite over 3,000 industry representatives, regulators and policymakers to address the evolving landscape of European gambling markets.

Originally announced back in February, the event will serve as a comprehensive meeting point for Europe’s regulated gambling sector. It will feature participation from national and international gaming regulators, operators and other key stakeholders engaged in the development and oversight of licensed markets.

The focus will be on navigating regulatory and commercial changes across the continent.

Rasmus Sojmark, Founder & CEO of SBC, says: “Europe is not one gambling market. It is a collection of regulated markets, each at a different stage of development and each facing its own questions around taxation, advertising, player protection, changing consumer behaviour, AI, technology and channelisation. This is exactly why bringing these markets together is so valuable.

“We want SBC Summit Europe to be where the people running regulated gaming businesses can sit alongside the people regulating them and other stakeholders in the regulatory ecosystem. That means major European operators, strong national brands, regulators, associations, policymakers and the wider industry all in Amsterdam at the same time.”

The event will leverage SBC’s partnerships with organisations such as the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) and the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL) to enhance regulator participation. These collaborations aim to facilitate direct conversations between regulators and businesses, addressing the fragmented regulatory landscape and exploring the consequences of varying approaches to regulation.

The conference agenda will delve into critical issues like channelisation, taxation, advertising restrictions, and player protection. It will also provide market-focused sessions allowing delegates to examine individual European jurisdictions in detail. Additionally, the Summit will explore technological influences on the next generation of regulated gaming, including compliance tech and evolving player behaviours.

Andrew McCarron, SBC Managing Director, adds: “Europe needs a meeting place that reflects what the industry actually looks like today. This means putting regulated markets first. It means bringing the leading licensed operators from across Europe together. And crucially, it means making sure regulators are part of the conversation rather than discussing regulation without them.

“If we are successful in bringing those things together in Amsterdam, SBC Summit Europe can become an incredibly important date in the calendar for European gaming.”

SBC Summit Europe takes place at RAI Amsterdam from April 19th to 21st, 2027.

Operators, regulators, suppliers and qualifying affiliates can apply for complimentary passes.
