With the team at SiGMA concluding, quite rightly, that as victims of their own success, the time had come to evolve and expand their principal European event and relocate it to a more appropriately sized location and venue in Rome, their fellow event organisers over at SBC saw an opportunity to reshape their own Malta event.
And so, CasinoBeats Summit is no more, and SBC Summit Malta is now on the calendar, taking place over June 10th to 12th at the five-star InterContinental Malta in St George’s Bay, St Julians.
A changing landscape
With this shift in the event landscape, the team at SBC saw what they believed to be a gap in the island’s market and a decision was quickly taken to broaden the scope of their own event.
The resultant rebrand aligns with SBC’s portfolio of regional and global events, most of which carry the SBC Summit brand, and adding ‘Malta’ to the name demonstrates the importance of the island in shaping the gaming industry we all know today.
Repositioning and rebranding
This repositioning and rebranding demonstrate SBC’s intention to expand and diversify the event. Visitors and trade exhibitors alike can expect more variety of content. The previous CasinoBeats agenda was always heavily focused on all things iCasino, along with affiliate and marketing tracks. SBC Summit Malta is expanding to include dedicated content on sports betting, payments, compliance, European market changes and predictions, and more.
With a broadened focus and more diverse audience, the event becomes relevant to a wider range of business profiles. Plus, with so many iGaming companies based in Malta, this is a fantastic opportunity for organisations to send employees they might not typically send to events.
Expansion and transformation
With a significantly expanded exhibition floor, SBC is creating more space at the InterContinental to accommodate everyone, with a range of budgets.
And what were previously the Game Developer Awards are transitioning into the SBC Awards Europe, with more categories to include verticals across the entire industry.
With regulation one of the hottest topics at every industry event throughout the world, SBC Summit Malta introduces a range of dedicated panels covering all aspects of regulation, with an obvious specific focus on European market development and exploration.
Concluding the increased focus on education and knowledge-sharing, SBC Summit Malta sees the introduction of two dedicated workshop rooms. Workshops offer an intimate setting and practical takeaways, and topics will include everything from bonus abuse and SEO to HR trends and building a personal brand.
And last but not least…
INFINITY, the party that made the informal, unwritten headlines in Lisbon, is coming to Malta. Those attending INFINITY Malta can expect EDM vibes and big names.
