SBC Summit Canada 2026 is set to redefine the gaming landscape as Canada undergoes significant expansion and reform. Held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from May 19th to 21st, it will spotlight leadership, regulation and strategy.

The event will feature a three-stage conference program focusing on various sectors such as Sports Betting & iGaming, Land-Based & Lottery and Player Protection. Over two days, industry leaders will converge to address challenges, including Alberta’s upcoming market launch and the implications of Bill S-211. The recalibration of betting advertising, opportunities from the 2026 FIFA World Cup and Ontario’s potential for international gaming liquidity will also be key topics.

Rasmus Sojmark, Founder & CEO of SBC, says: “2026 marks a pivotal moment for the Canadian market. Global sporting events, potential new launches and national regulation are set to reshape the industry in ways never felt before.

“This year’s conference ensures the industry is ready for what’s coming; providing the clarity and commercial guidance businesses need to turn this moment of change into an opportunity for growth.”

Regulation will be central to the discussions, examining Alberta’s framework modelled on Ontario’s market and the broader impact of Bill S-211. Panels will debate the Canadian Gaming Association’s Code for Responsible Gaming and its potential for market stability. Commercial sessions will delve into advertising policy changes, platform restrictions and Bill S-211’s delay impacts.

Growth opportunities, such as the 2026 FIFA World Cup and daily fantasy sports, will be explored. The Player Protection Symposium aims to enhance protections using data and AI, while examining regulatory pressures that may favour grey market operators.

The Payments & Compliance track will address faster payment flows and compliance issues, with the Cybersecurity Symposium focusing on data protection.

Industry leaders taking the stage include Jared Beber (Bet99), Paul Burns (Canadian Gaming Association), Johnny Capo (Betstamp), Duncan Hannay (OLG), Joseph Hillier (iGaming Ontario), Dallas McCready (ALC) and Hon. Minister Dale Nally (Minister for Service Alberta & Red Tape Reduction).

SBC Summit Canada will convene over 3,000 senior executives from across the Canadian gaming ecosystem. Across three days, delegates can expect focused networking events, executive-level discussions and a busy exhibition floor designed to facilitate real commercial connections.
