Manila shone as host of SiGMA Asia 2026, defying sporadic showers to deliver a successful event. The Summit has grown since its inception, overcoming early challenges to become a key platform for the gambling industry in Asia.

The journey began with SiGMA’s initial plans to launch in 2020, which were halted by the pandemic. However, by 2023, the Summit returned, bridging East and West and establishing a strong presence in the Asian market.

This year, the Philippines, known for its regulation and revenue potential, was an ideal host.

SiGMA Asia 2026 welcomed approximately 7,800 international delegates to Manila, with projections suggesting up to 12,000 attendees next year, and the event was a blend of networking, innovation and celebration.

Networking was a highlight, starting with an opening party on May 31st. The next day, delegates picked up badges at the Conrad Hotel, while exhibitors prepared at the SMX Convention Centre. Platinum ticket holders enjoyed the SiGMA Nexus Elite Golf Tour at Club Intramuros, a beautiful course offering a mix of sport and networking.

For those less inclined to competition, a Manila Bay cruise provided relaxation and networking opportunities. The day concluded with an Awards Ceremony at the Conrad Hotel, celebrating industry achievements and the SiGMA Foundation, which raised €17,000 through an art auction.

The SiGMA Poker Tour also ran alongside the main event at City of Dreams, Manila, with a prize pool of PHP20 million, setting a high bar for future events.

The main conference kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and keynotes, including those by PAGCOR CEO, Alejandro Tengco, and Deputy Speaker, Maria Rachel Arenas. Tengco emphasised the importance of regulation, social responsibility and the industry’s community benefits. Arenas highlighted the transformative role of AI in reshaping society.

A Malta Day celebration hosted by the Maltese Embassy featured traditional Maltese food and music, attended by ambassadors and consuls, underscoring the international flavour of SiGMA Asia.

The Global Gaming Awards Asia-Pacific was another highlight, with categories recognising excellence in the industry. SiGMA Founder Eman Pulis shared his vision for future Summits, stressing the importance of regulated gaming.

SiGMA Asia 2026 concluded with a vibrant closing party in Manila, a city known for its energetic nightlife. Hosted by 747.live at BSK Manila, the party featured DJs and a nod to Pinoy hip-hop culture.
