The Macau SAR Government approved SJM Resorts to directly manage L’Arc Casino from December 30th, 2025. This comes after the Gaming Inspection & Coordination Bureau (DICJ) confirmed that SJM’s application met all legal requirements, concluding the three-year transition for satellite casinos.
SJM Resorts will assume full operational control of L’Arc Casino following the end of the satellite casino model. This change allows SJM to self-operate the casino, as all necessary documentation was provided and reviewed by the DICJ.
The DICJ regulator will enforce strict supervision and on-site monitoring to facilitate an orderly transition and maintain regular operations. SJM is expected to implement its operational plan to uphold the casino’s functionality.
SJM highlighted how this strengthens its portfolio and enhances synergies across Lisboa-branded properties, helping to retain loyal customers and expand market reach.
Of the 11 satellite casinos operating earlier this year, L’Arc Casino is the only one transitioning to a concessionaire wholly-owned arrangement under Macau’s new gaming law. This move positions SJM Resorts to further consolidate its presence and leverage strategic advantages within Macau’s competitive gaming market.
