Streaming platform Soop has announced a pioneering initiative allowing select League of Legends Champions, Korea (LCK), players to co-stream matches, commencing in the latter half of the 2025 season.

This new arrangement permits LCK teams holding exclusive streaming agreements with Soop to broadcast games through their own channels.

Prominent organisations such as DRX, Gen.G, T1 and DN Freecs have successfully secured these streaming deals. As a result, renowned players including Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok (T1), Jung ‘Chovy’ Ji-hoon (Gen.G) and Park ‘Ruler’ Jae-hyuk (DRX) can now co-stream matches, engaging with a global fanbase, including audiences in the UK.

According to Esports Insider, Soop’s branding will be prominently displayed across LCK broadcasts. Moreover, Soop has collaborated with South Korean esports titan T1 to launch Soop Adventure, an interactive fan engagement platform.

Fans can collect e-Soop Stamps by participating in activities, potentially winning prizes such as tickets to the Mid-Season Invitational in Vancouver, Canada, scheduled for June 27th to July 12th.

Soop will also organise an online activation during the Road to MSI tournament from June 13th to 15th, enhancing fan participation ahead of the international event.

Previously known as AfreecaTV, Soop rebranded in June 2024, focusing on esports and gaming content. With its headquarters in South Korea, it supports major events like the Valorant Champions Tour Pacific, PUBG Esports and LCK.

The platform is accessible to UK users via sooplive.com and mobile apps, offering real-time translation features to facilitate engagement.

Co-streaming is now a staple of esports, particularly within League of Legends. Riot Games first introduced co-streaming with its Valorant esports series.

British esports figure Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont has been instrumental in this space, delivering insightful LCK co-streams that have attracted substantial UK and international audiences, underscoring the influence of British esports in global broadcasting.
