Global social media giant Twitter has announced an exciting partnership with Singapore-based gaming and esports talent managers Emerge Esports, in a bid to boost the country’s interactions across the gaming community. “We believe that our combined expertise will drive constant dialogue within the regional esports scene between fans, professional gamers and brands, growing Singapore’s gaming ecosystem to be on par with their global counterparts,” said Roy Kek, Chief Executive Officer and founder of Emerge Esports. “This collaboration will not only ramp up the quality of content being produced but will also equip content creators with the right channel to post their ideas to garner greater opportunities.”
Professional esports athletes will be provided with the right channel to interact with their fans, equipping gaming content creators with exclusive platform features and monetisation opportunities. Talent signed under Emerge will have access to exclusive features to produce premium video content for their gaming fans, which includes #OnlyOnTwitter tools such as the Q&A application and livestreaming options. And content creators will be able to secure additional revenue through Twitter’s Amplify Program and Media Studio, allowing them to develop exclusive content for a wider audience.
Maurizio Barbieri, Twitter’s Head of Sports & Gaming partnerships, SEA and Greater China, added: “We are excited to be working with Emerge. The partnership not only reflects our commitment to support Singapore’s growing esports community, but also provides gamers with opportunities to showcase and celebrate esports content on Twitter in Singapore and across the globe. Through this partnership, we look to strengthen Twitter’s position as the go-to social platform for the latest updates in the gaming world and connect to gamers wherever they are.”
