The UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) has published four consultations for the Gambling Act White Paper.

The publication of UKGC’s first round of consultations is set to take place this month, July 2023. The four consultations are: Age Verification in Premises, Remote Games Design, Financial Risk & Vulnerability Checks for Remote Operators and Allowing Consumers to have more Control over the Direct Marketing they Receive.

In addition, two further consultations, not directly related to the Review, will also be begun – Rules around Personal Management Licences and Procedures for Regulatory Panels.

It is anticipated that these consultations will all be completed by October this year.

Speaking after the latest update, Tim Miller, Executive Director of the UKGC, said: Gambling Commission, commented at the end of the review update: “We are determined to make progress at speed.

“Implementing the Gambling Act Review is a key part of our work to make gambling safer, fairer and crime-free over the next few years.”
