Gfinity has announced a landmark deal with Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company. The Coca-Cola COPA Challenge will be a new competitive gaming tournament which will see gamers compete on the Football Manager game. This will run through the month of October, on the Football Manager simulator, and will include eight digitally broadcast shows. Gfinity is supporting Coca-Cola HBC in the management of the event across the Republic of Ireland, as well as in Italy, in partnership with Italian tournament organiser PG Esports. The company will be responsible for full operation of the tournament from design through to launch and broadcast delivery. “One of Gfinitys strategic priorities is to deliver esports and gaming solutions for some of the world’s biggest brands and we are delighted to be working with Coca-Cola to operate what will be a very exciting tournament,” said Gfinity Chief Executive, John Clarke. “Football Manager has been a household name for many years, and we look forward to hosting the Coca-Cola COPA Challenge.”
In other news, Gfinity has also been appointed by ASK4 as tournament operator for the company’s sponsored FIFA 22 tournament for students in purpose-built student accommodation. The tournament will take place in the week beginning in November. Clarke added: “Our partnership with ASK4 is another example of our commitment to building communities for gaming brands across the spectrum, enabling them to capture the imagination of fans around the world.”
