Enrique Razon Jr., Bloomberry Resorts Chairman & CEO, has become the Philippines’ richest person for the first time after his estimated fortune almost doubled during the past year.

Forbes valued Razon’s net worth at US$21.8bn in its 2026 Philippines Rich List, up from $11.5bn a year earlier.

The increase was driven primarily by International Container Terminal Services, the ports group where Razon serves as chairman and president. Shares in the company more than doubled during the period covered by the ranking.

Razon remains one of the Philippines’ most influential gaming executives through Bloomberry Resorts, which operates Solaire Resort Entertainment City in Parañaque and Solaire Resort North in Quezon City.

The Sy siblings fell to second place with a combined fortune of $9.2bn, down from $11.8bn. Their business interests include companies involved in the development of City of Dreams Manila.

Other gaming-linked figures appearing on the list include Alliance Global Group Chairman, Andrew Tan, whose interests include Newport World Resorts, and DigiPlus Interactive Chairman, Eusebio Tanco.

Tan ranked 14th with an estimated fortune of $1.8bn, while Tanco placed 20th at $735m.

Lance Gokongwei and his siblings, whose business interests include NUSTAR Resort and Casino in Cebu, ranked 13th with a combined fortune of $1.9bn.

The combined wealth of the Philippines’ 50 richest individuals and families declined 8% to $79bn from $86bn a year earlier.

Forbes said only 14 entries increased their wealth during the year, while 33 recorded declines.

The ranking was calculated using share prices and exchange rates at the close of markets on July 17th.
