SBC Summit 2025 will spotlight Africa’s burgeoning gambling industry, providing stakeholders with insights and strategies for growth. The Emerging Markets Africa track on September 16th will feature five sessions focusing on opportunities, challenges and regional dynamics.

The track will cover key markets, from South Africa to Ghana, with insights from industry leaders. Attendees will learn about regulatory navigation and strategies for sustained growth in Africa’s diverse gaming landscape.

With over 70% of Africans owning smartphones and mobile money systems prevalent, the session will analyze how this ecosystem facilitates seamless payments and user engagement. Speakers include Chris Duncan (Bonmoja), Charles Lee (Kwiff) and Anton Rublievskyi (Growe).

Regulating Africa: Putting the Player First will focus on emerging regulatory frameworks prioritizing player safety and responsible growth. Featuring Bashir Are (Lagos State Lotteries & Gaming Authority), Carla Bastos (Mpumalanga Economic Regulator), Peter Kesitilwe (Botswana Gambling Authority) and Zoe Siwa (Western Cape Gambling & Racing Board), the discussion will highlight collaboration between operators and regulators.

Marketing to Africa: No More One-Size-Fits-All will examine tailored marketing strategies reflecting Africa’s cultural diversity. Elad Barzilai (Leverage), Ben Cove (Logifuture), Maha Otu (Betwinner Affiliates), Michael Rasmussen (E2 Communications) and moderator Lois Bright (Women in Gaming Africa) will discuss adapting to regional trends and cultural nuances.
