The Holland America cruise line is expanding the casino space aboard its Pinnacle and Signature class ships to include over 140 new slot and video poker machines.

The expanded casino offering on the ships Rotterdam, Nieuw Statendam, Koningsdam, Eurodam and Nieuw Amsterdam also includes further traditional slots and progressive jackpots, and on-board slot tournaments.

Daniel Materassi, SVP Guest Commerce & Performance Analytics at Holland America, says: “Casino play is a key part of their cruise vacation for many of our guests, and we were able to take advantage of some extra space on our Pinnacle-class ships to add more gaming machines.”

The system also allows cashless wagering on slots and allows gamers take part in slot tournaments, prize draws and bonus events.

Holland America Line was founded in Rotterdam, Netherlands, in 1873 and since 1989 has been a US-owned subsidiary of Carnival Corporation. The line currently operates 11 ships across five classes, primarily delivering cruises to Europe, Asia and the Caribbean.
