Despite a further outbreak of Covid-19 infections in Macau, as of June 20th the official website of the Macau Legislative Assembly was still reporting that voting on the territory’s new Gaming Law is scheduled to take place on June 21st.
This latest outbreak has resulted in several isolated lockdowns, with a number of government departments remaining closed following the weekend.
However, on the afternoon of June 19th, Lei Wai Nong, Macau’s Secretary for Economy & Finance, said that “the government will comply with epidemic prevention measures, but the schedule of the Legislative Council meeting for the Gaming Law has not changed.”
