SBC Summit 2026 will focus on emerging markets such as Africa, Eastern Europe, Eurasia and the Far East, offering strategies to capitalize on these regions.

The event takes place from September 29th to October 1st, at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa, featuring a dedicated Emerging Markets track.

This will open on the Global & Emerging Markets Stage, one of six conference stages, including Regulation & Compliance and Technology.

Rasmus Sojmark, Founder & CEO of SBC, says: “In today’s gaming landscape, spotting growth opportunities is only part of the challenge. The real question is where to focus your time, investment and resources.

“This is what makes this track so valuable. It goes beyond naming which markets to enter by bringing together the people actually operating in them, people who understand what it takes to navigate local regulation, build a sustainable business and succeed long term.

“This is priceless guidance for anyone looking to enter.”

The track’s program will commence with two sessions on Africa, exploring the continent’s commercial growth and regulatory frameworks. The Africa Advantage: High Growth, Fast Regulation, Huge Potential will offer insights into the forces driving Africa’s expansion. A panel featuring industry leaders like Christopher Coyne (888Africa) and Jason Gibson (SportPesa) will discuss player preferences, market growth, and regulatory shifts towards licensed sectors.

Africa’s New Rulebook: How Regulators Are Shaping a 45-Market Boom will dissect the approaches of key markets towards licensing, taxation and player safety. This session will explore which regulatory models are conducive to licensed growth.

Attention will then shift to Central & Eastern Europe, exploring opportunities in markets experiencing rising taxes and tighter regulations. The panel CEE in Transition will feature experts like Ionut-Valeriu Andrei (Loteria Română) and Mikolaj Cymerman (Entain CEE) discussing adaptations to changing conditions.

The focus will then move to Eurasia with From Kazakhstan to Georgia: Who’s Opening Up and Who’s Shutting Down, examining regulatory approaches in Central Asia and the Caucasus. The track will close with The Far East: Opportunity Rising, Tolerance Shrinking, assessing regulatory developments in the Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, Japan and Macau.

Aside from the conference, SBC Summit will host new Regulatory Gaming Meetups tailored for regions like Africa, Asia and Eurasia, offering attendees a platform to discuss market entry and compliance challenges.

The Summit expects to welcome 40,000 industry professionals over three days of networking and exhibition. To secure maximum available discounts, get your tickets for SBC Summit 2026 HERE
